A phrase we would all agree with I think is 'life is better with friends'. I don't know about you but my friends are true diamonds, they have laughed with me, cried with me, held me up and carried me. When a friend is in need, we rush to their side. This lastest commission was for exactly this purpose, to cheer up a friend. I hope you like it as much as I do.
Good morning people. it's been a very busy week behind the scenes. Not much sewing going on due to a sprained wrist but I made myself useful applying for craft fairs and craft selling sites. The lovely people at the Crafty Muthas are setting up another handful of fairs this year, based in the Bearwood area of Birmingham. Always full of top quality crafts, it would be a honor to sell with them. Fingers crossed my application is accepted. I'm also hoping to be accepted for a new site called Handmake.Me which is dedicated to customised / personalised items. I've made a gorgeous hoop, which you can see below, hopefully they think it's up to scratch. More details on these mini venture to come this week. Till then it's sew sew sew! lots of catching up to do now my hand is better. See you soon peeps. You will be able to customize the colour scheme and put on your own name/date/phrase. Exciting!
Yay! how exciting. The owner of this wall hanging was thrilled upon its arrival today. I made this for a dear friend, to welcome her beautiful baby girl Eliza to the world. I have to say, I rather fell out of love with it half way through. However now it's finished, I love it! I really enjoyed picking out the fabrics and adding the lino print animals. All hand cut linos too! machine embroidery finishes it off just nicely. Buttons, ribbons and pretty fabrics, love it, love it!!

https://beta.folksy.com/shops/PearTreeandStitch Hello there! welcome to my blog! my name is Erica Partridge, I'm a mother to two lovely boys and I live in the West Midlands. This year I have created Pear Tree and Stitch, my crafty business. I'm obsessed with sewing! machine embroidery especially. I love all things retro and vintage and simply adore messing about with fabric, ribbons and buttons. I've been creating for over six years now, but finally decided that 2014 would be the year to take things seriously. I've done lots of fabric art commissions over the years and the positive praise I've received has been great. After doing a local craft fair last year I quickly realised I was hooked! I hope to keep you all updated with what I'm up to in the wonderful world of crafting. I aim to blog around once a fortnight for now, whilst I kick start my business. If you don't hear from me I'm probably trawlling my favourite charity shops in search of fabric and gorgeous embellishments. Bye for now :-)
